Susan Fischer, in remission since 2017
When I was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2016, I knew I wanted to receive the best possible treatment. Then, one of the country’s largest cancer treatment centers told me that they had no room for me. I was devastated and turned to family and friends for advice. This was when a friend told me about Dr. Philip Salem curing his loved one of pancreatic cancer, one of the most difficult cancers to treat. After hearing this, I knew I had to meet him.
Within two weeks I had traveled from Alabama to Houston and was being treated at Dr. Salem’s office in the Texas Medical Center. The staff at Salem Oncology Center treated me like family, unlike the larger hospital systems where I felt like a number. I visited with Dr. Salem seven days a week during my treatment in Houston, and the love and care that I received at Salem Oncology was unparalleled. Four years later, Dr. Salem and his team still treat me like family and check in on me often.
I recommend Dr. Salem to as many people as possible. Even if you just need a second opinion, he is the doctor for that.
Dr. Salem has gone out of his way to work graciously with my local physicians in Alabama, making sure that I’m receiving the best possible treatment even when I’m at home!
I’m so thankful for the exceptional treatment and love that Salem Oncology Center has shown me.
